Lavender Festival

Hello to all my Peeps!
My Honey and I had a full weekend!
Since the kids are away for two in a half weeks, we filled up our first weekend
with 2 great events.
I'm posting my favorite first.

LAVENDER FESTIVAL
Highland Springs Resort
Cherry Valley, CA.

The minute we got out of the car, the smell was amazing!
It was instant eye candy too.

The soaps are to die for, such a selection.

Sachets and the heart shaped, lavender rose petals on top.
They would have made great wings for an Angel project.

Great Wedding center pieces!

Drying of the Lavender, I love this!
Just the idea of doing this yourself to me is very appealing!

This is a Lavender Honey display.
Very nice.

Ginger Pena is a Wonderful Artist.
Her being at the festival was a perfect place for her to sit and just paint.
The surroundings are so inspiring.
Her work was amazing!
Lavender fields forever.

You can see her work at www.gingerpena.com
 or contact her at gingerpena@verizon.net

My pictures don't do her work justice.

Just a pot of Lavender.
How sweet.

The fields were so inviting you just wanting to sit in the middle and take a deep breathe.
When the wind picked up it was like god was spraying perfume all over.

One of the reasons my Honey and I went to this Festival.
Number one is when we leave California were going to have a couple of fields our selves.
Can't wait to start planting. South Carolina her we come!
Second reason was to be outside and just smell.

This was a wonderful area.
It's tree trunks made into tables.
I would make panels of old quilts and vintage linens, just line them on either side.
You would have the trees above you and a big long tunnel of this table, flowers, and quilts.
OMG how Cool would that be!

A horse drawn carriage goes through the fields.
Beautiful Horse's.

Very unusual carriage.
Love the roof!

So pretty and tranquil.

My Honey standing in front of a Antique Hay Bailer.
Don't look at his T-Shirt. Not a good shirt to wear to the Lavender Festival.
he dressed himself and I didn't think about it until we got there.
Gotta Love him!

Definitely a couple.....couple of what who knows......OMG!

We had a great time!

  So hard not to.

Then we sat down and had Lavender Ice Cream and Lavender Cheese Cake.
I liked the Cheese Cake the best. The Ice Cream was ok.
But the setting was just perfect.
The trees a Cellist and a Pianist.

Several Vendors.

Beautiful Quilts.
Which of course every one knows how much I love them.

They had goats too,

I wanted to take them all home.

A little petting zoo for the kids.

and a Duck!

Lavender Festival is in June in Cherry Valley it celebrates the beginning of Lavender Harvest season.
It is a must go. So mark your Calendar for June of next year. Its held the first two weekends of the month.

Also if you want a beautiful place to get Married, I would recommend this venue. They also have little cottage to stay in. Take my advice go and see, stay or start the rest of your life together at this beautiful location.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you enjoyed my adventure.
Well that's all for now, until the next time.

God Bless you all!
